Does Your Nepali Degree Need Attestation for a Student Visa?
This depends on the destination country and the purpose:
- For immigration (visa application): Most countries only require certified translation — not MoFA attestation or embassy attestation. Australia, UK, Canada, and the USA fall into this category.
- For credential evaluation (WES, VETASSESS, ACS, DAAD): Some skills assessment and credential evaluation bodies require a MoFA-attested or apostilled copy of your original certificate, in addition to a certified translation. Check the specific body’s requirements.
- For Gulf countries (UAE, Qatar, Saudi): Full three-step attestation chain (Notary + MoFA + Embassy) is required — even for student or employment visas.
